Equine Assisted Learning
Equine assisted learning is a new innovative way to teach First Responders about emotional intelligence. Horses are patient, resilient, reactive, and unpredictable. All these things are present before, during, and after a critical situation. How people interact with this 10000 lbs animal is no different than how they interact with the community, suspect, victim, or family.
Balancing the Mind
Developing skills to recognize when your adrenaline and emotions are elevating is the key to maintaining self-control and awareness. To keep adrenaline and emotions under control is about being self-aware. Training to keep the balance of the mindset, conscious and subconscious is what horses can give us through the experience.

Veterans are another group that experience trauma. Training mental health professionals to help them is one thing. Mental health professionals still need to be resilient to the things that are bothering our vets when they come back form battle. Secondary trauma is something that happens with anyone who works with veterans, first responders, and children.
EalTC
is part of a growing trend to use horses for emotional health and well being. This is not a therapy program, it is a program that teaches self-control, awareness and resilience.
This is experiential learning for professional and personal development.
